Why I Don't Believe Kevin Trudeau.

While I believe Kevin Trudeau is a good guy who's trying to do us a good service, there are a few things that he says that, to me, destroy his credibility.

1. If the FDA was truly after him to shut him up permanently, wouldn't they have already done so? He repeatedly says in his second Natural Cures book that "omg I just revealed some important information, read it and if you see a story on the news that I died, I was assasinated!" Well, he's not dead yet.

2. Repetition of the same thing over. and. over. and. over again. While it's for dramatic effect, putting the EXACT same article into both of his books annoys me.

3. Having to have a subscription to his site in the first place.

4. Stories of people who've subscribed to said site and have the damndest time trying to unsubscribe.

5. The cost of the products he recommends. Not many of the things he recommends are free. The list of sites for breathing exercises, for example, all involve buying videos, buying subscriptions to THOSE sites, etc.

6. Is he a Scientologist? I picked up the book on Dianetics (Dianetics: The Modern Science Of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard) and am having a hell of a time with it. I happen to enjoy psychology and am good at it, but I'm one quarter of a way through the book and have put it down because it's confusing. That, plus the Q-Links and Ependant that Kevin Trudeau recommends, while gorgeous, are outrageously expensive. Then again, I want the expensive models to begin with. The Ependant "sport" starts at $184 and the Q-link starts at $99. Still expensive for jewelry.

I haven't eaten healthily or organic these past two days and I can feel it. I'm pretty mad that Rite Aid got rid of the Hershey's Organic chocolate that was in bags in the candy aisle. For lunch today I caved in and had nachos. Pseudo ones, with salsa mixed with con queso and cheddar over tortilla chips cooked in the microwave. For dinner, chicken tenders from the Puritan, the local restaurant who are famous for them. However, the waitress who boxed the dinner didn't put in fresh sauces and I had to use the used ones my parents used. A bit of boiling in the microwave rendered them cootie free but it's still quite gross.

Also, I may treat myself to a book. I haven't treated myself to anything since October when I bought Phantom Hourglass for my DS.
